Frequently Asked Questions
How much is it? Do I need a ticket?
There is a small entry fee each night (wristbands issued) and payable on the gate only (CASH ONLY - no card facilities on site):
£3.00 (Under 5s free)
What time does the site open?
Site entry is from 18.00 - Sessions start 19.00 until midnight.
Monday (Marquee Sessions) : FREE entry (no wristbands)
Music from 15.00 to late evening.
Is there a limit on audience numbers?
Yes. Licensing restrictions means there is a limit to the number of people we can allow on site at any one time. There are a limited number of wristbands each night. Audience numbers have increased every year so we would advise arriving in good time to avoid disappointment. Wristbands can only be purchased on the gate for that night.
Can I pay by card?
Cash only - there are no card payment facilities on site. The nearest cash point or cash back is SPAR in Sidford (5 min drive). The nearest free cash point is at Waitrose (5-10 min drive).
Can I bring my dog?
Unfortunately we no longer allow dogs. So unless you already have a prior agreement with management only guide dogs will be permitted at the Fringe. For further information contact: backwoodsman222@gmail.com
Can I bring alcohol to the Fringe?
The Fringe operates on tight budgets and we rely on money raised through bars sales to cover our staging costs and help with artists expenses/fees. We have a great bar with a good range of local beers, lagers and ciders and spirits at reasonable prices - so please don't bring your own. Thank you.
What food outlets are there?
We have at least two of our favourite food outlets both offering fantastic locally made and sourced food during the evening performances from around 6.00pm
Both with Veggie/Vegan and Gluten Free options at reasonable prices.
Breakfast Van: There is a breakfast van near the shower block on the campfield serving morning tea/coffee/eggs/bacon butties and more!
Where can I park?
There is a small carpark on left inside the main entrance and extra parking in the field to the right as you enter (signposted). Click Directions tab above for directions and site map and access. Parking is FREE and cars are parked at owners risk.
Is there a bus?
There is an independently run shuttle bus which runs up and down the hill into Sidmouth which picks up and drops off just outside the venue. There is a timetable at the bus stop but they tend to run every hour in the day time and every half hour in the evening until late (just after midnight) Please check locally for confirmation of times!
Is there music on Monday night?
There is no live music in the barn on Monday night. However we will be repeating our very popular Marquee Sessions between 3.00pm and 11.30pm. The bar will be open for drinks and refreshments and tasty hot food in the evening!
Do you have WiFi?
Ask at the barn for the code.
