The Sidmouth Fringe Sessions are a series of intimate musical performances spread over 5 nights (7.15pm - late) around the first week of August.

Situated on the edge of the sleepy coastal Devon village of Salcombe Regis (near Sidmouth), it centres around a traditional oak-framed building (McBuzz’s Barn) complete with veranda and adjoining marquee. The event coincides with (but independent of) the long-established Sidmouth Folk Festival where thousands of colourful music lovers descend on the valley for the week.

The Sessions are "FREE to All Music Lovers'* and celebrate the very best in emerging acts, breaking artists and under-the-radar musicians - not just locally but from across the whole UK. Add to this, occasional international touring artists, and you have a fantastic mini festival of live music in an authentic setting.

The music is an eclectic mix of many genres - and has included folk/roots, bluegrass, stomp, blues, acoustic, jazzfusion, world and indie rock/pop - plus everything in-between.

The venue is adjacent to the 'alternative' festival campsite (for most of the year a golf course) so there is camping and showers available right next door. A range of excellent local beers, lagers, ciders are served with a smile from McBuzz's bar and there are hot food stalls selling tasty stuff all evening with vege and vegan and GF options.

*FREE Entry to the Fringe

The sessions are currently 'FREE to all Music Lovers'. However, we hope all who come and enjoy the event, will help to keep it free by donating generously into the bands collection buckets! All donations are divided equally between the musicians performing in the sessions. Cheers!

@ Sidmouth Fringe summer 2017

"Without doubt the highlight of the summer festival circuit with a line-up that challenges and beats anything else in the county in terms of its quality and consistency”
