Will McNicol

Play the video (on your left) and you will quickly see why Will McNicol was voted UK Acoustic Guitarist of the Year in 2011 and more recently included in Acoustic Guitar Magazine’s ’30 Great Guitarists Under 30’ from around the world. Will’s music is influenced by styles from all over the world, and he has developed his own unique sound, with Celtic folk being the underlying inspiration. His performances have been described as “beautifully flawless”, as he swaps between nylon and steel string guitars to show the sheer variety of tone guitars can offer. The guitar maestro is also an in-demand tutor and has given workshops at many festivals and is proudly endorsed by Fylde Guitars and G7th Capos.

Little Sparrow

We were knocked out by the gorgeous vocals of ‘Little Sparrow’ when we first discovered her music. Her intricately-crafted songs are a combination of flawless vocals, strings, and tender harmonies – and with shades of Kate Bush, she is captivating to watch as she is to listen to.

Under her Little Sparrow moniker, Manchester's singer-songwriter Katie Ware, takes her audience on a journey that touches upon every emotion, from heart-breaking sadness to uplifting joy.

Henri Herbert

"...definitely one of the best and most sought after boogie woogie blues piano men in the world." (SXSW 2016)

Last summer's opening night of the Fringe started with the sight of collective jaws dropping in the audience as Henri Herbert took to the piano for a bit of Boogie Woogie. So we are stoked that the piano-playing phenomenon is back again this year. Even better, he is bringing the band!

Invited to showcase at SXSW in Texas and Radio6 sessions this year he is rapidly gaining new fans. The YouTude clip of his dazzling impromptu performance on the public piano at St Pancras station now up to 11M views – indicating his growing global appeal and claim to be the leading boogie-woogie pianist of his generation.

Flats & Sharps

Another act back by popular demand are the fabulous Flats and Sharps. These lively young Cornish alt-Bluegrass boys are firm Fringe favourites and always deliver a fantastic high-energy performance! Guaranteed to get thighs-a-slapping and bring a smile to your face these lads are a very popular live act with a rapidly increasing band of followers. Sure to end the night on a big high!

(Check out their fab vid recorded at last summers Fringe on the media tab above!)

We're back on it for Tuesday night starting with the "beautifully flawless" guitar maestro Will McNicol, the heavenly vocals and intricately-crafted songs of Little Sparrow, the phenomenal piano and blues of the Henri Herbert Band and thigh-slapping Cornish Alt-Bluegrass band The Flats & Sharps to finish.

Arrive in good time - with fantastic music right from the start!
