An intoxicating mix of the very best young rising stars of the indie Pop/Folk/Rock & Dance music scenes from London, Swanage, and Bristol... Feat. the perfectly formed retro sound of FLYTE, the lush, expansive folk/rock melodies of Saturday Sun and the hypnotic dancey rifts of New Carnival. Plus effortless sibling harmonies from new kids on the block Moon Brother. See 'em up close on a small stage before they all get too famous!
Fresh from a supporting Bombay Bicycle Club on their recent tour. This appropriately named indie/pop, fab foursome from London, seem destined to take off in a big way this year. With Beatlesque harmonies, ultra catchy song-writing, and perfectly-formed melodic retro sound, these boys are the finished article and are a band on a steep upward trajectory. Their recent exuberant live performances have seen a strong word-of -mouth buzz grow. See them up close and personal at the Fringe this summer before they get too famous...
Saturday Sun
We were blown away by the music of this 4-piece band from Swanage who take their name from the Nick Drake song and make music echoing Drake’s 60’s acoustic sound, but with an added fusion of folk, rock and blues recalling maverick John Martyn, with a touch of psychedelia, early Pink Floyd style. The mixture of influences creates a sound built on gentle, but intricate acoustic guitar work, but one that sonically grows into something bigger, with lush expansive melodies. Vocalist Alex Hedley’s range veers from falsetto to an earthy, almost growling baritone, giving even their most gentle tracks an emotional weight. "Utterly perfect" – Paul Lester – Band of The Day - The Guardian
We are delighted to introduce this exciting trio from Bristol who are surely destined for big things. Most of their songs are up tempo, all bass heavy, with catchy hooks and hypnotic riffs, whilst some waver to a darker and more emotive setting, drawing roots from dub and half time beats. The songs are written by Max, the singer and guitarist. The other members are Billy Foster (bass/synth) and Bertie Crawley (drums). Playing live, they're energetic and tight.
Real life brothers Matt and Theo are a new folk/pop duo performing very catchy songs with effortless sibling vocal harmonies. (Remember the Everly Brothers?!). Originally from Exeter they are now living in London and working hard on their first EP due to be released later this year. Arrive in good time to see this enchanting duo perform.
