Stevie & The Masquerades (Slot 1)
Chuffed to introduce this exciting new duo from Somerset.
Singer-songwriter Stevie Nicole Brown and musician/producer Matt Bond, are starting to get noticed for their dynamic live shows and energetic performances crafting their own blend of 80's inspired synth-drenched pop, washed with dynamic vocals, electric guitar, drums and piano.
We Are Leif (Slot 2)
We very taken by this super-chilled jazzy quartet from Bristol first spotted on BalconyTV (Exeter) earlier this year and we are delighted they will be joining us.
Led by the songwriting team of vocalist Louise Victoria and drummer Mark Whitlam, We Are Leif launched their first EP last year and are steadily building a buzz around themselves on the south west music scene.
With pitch-perfect, effortless vocals gliding over bubbling baselines, meandering electric piano and snap-tight percusssion – the band’s free ranging music style deftly spans jazz sensibilities, with a penchant for neo-soul and R&B.
Hattie Whitehead
(full band) (Slot 3)
London based singer-songwriter and vocalist Hattie Whitehead had us all spell-bound when she last played at the barn in 2015 so it is lovely to have her back again at the Fringe this summer with her band.
Inspired by the earlier sounds of folk artists such as James Taylor, Nick Drake, John Martyn and Joni Mitchell, Hattie is renowned for the purity of her vocal tones and crystal clear delivery. Her experience of playing, singing and listening to folk, jazz, soul, alternative and many more genres has led Hattie to develop a style that is melodic, soulful, heartfelt and often unpredictable. A real treat…
CoCo & the Butterfields (Slot 4)
Yay, yay and thrice yay! Really great to have everybody's favourite Folk Hip Hop band CoCo & the Butterfields back in the barn this summer.
"Colourful, energetic & crowd-stamping, CoCo and the Butterfields express all the fun and vibrance of a village folk fair, throwing in powerful vocals and a beatbox to deliver catchy songs resonating in a stadium-filling pop and urban rap vibe. Yet the atmosphere is intimate, popular with audiences of all ages. The uniquely styled music transcends genre, skipping right to the part where people start dancing. CoCo and the Butterfields are on a mission to bring people from all backgrounds together, to have a good time!”
