Hattie Briggs

Delighted to have Hattie Briggs and her bassist Jack Cookson join us this summer! Hattie is a 23 year-old singer-songwriter and BBC Radio 2 Young Folk Award Nominee (2014).

Following her critically acclaimed, award winning debut album “Red & Gold” of early 2015, her new album “Young Runaway” produced by Peter Waterman, is being released in July. Hattie is currently on her promotional tour gigging all around the UK and Holland, and will be off to perform in the USA and Canada in the Autumn.

Influenced by Eva Cassidy and James Taylor, Hattie's pure vocals, catchy melodies and mature lyrics combine to capture the heart...

Haunt the Woods

Creating a big buzz in the Southwest right now are alt/folk/rock band Haunt the Woods. With spellbinding guitar and gorgeous harmonies this 4-piece group of talented young musicians from the Devon/Cornwall borders, are receiving lots of critical acclaim. With recent support slots for Sunset Sons and Dry the River, main stage performance at Boardmasters and an appearance on Chris Evans’ TFI Friday – they are headed on a fast upward trajectory...

Burnz

Burnz are an exciting young four piece from Hertfordshire/London. Fusing elements of indie pop/rock with a sprinkling of folk and soul – they create a captivating dynamic sound that sits somewhere between Prince and Fleetwood Mac with an added modern twist. Front man Joe Bernie really grabs the ear with a terrific vocal range, soaring from a low baritone to a hair-raising falsetto. Really looking forward to this one…

CC Smugglers

“The best live band on the scene at the moment.” Cerys Matthews // BBC6 Music

“Great live. Just Brilliant.” Bob Harris // Radio2

We are really excited that the sensational CC Smugglers will be playing the Fringe this summer!

This 6-piece rootsy band-of-brothers from the shires have made the transition from the street to the stage with consummate ease. They play with such enthusiasm, joy and energetic abandonment that they are impossible to watch without a spreading smile as you are irresistibly sucked into their ‘good times’ music inspired by folk, swing, jazz and blues. You can also see them on slightly larger stages at Cambridge, Cornbury and Glastonbury Festivals as well as some of Europe’s biggest summer festivals!
