There is no holding back for our Sunday menu... starting with the ebullient, heartfelt alt-folk of Stables, the enchanting, powerful vocals of Megan Dixon Hood, the beautiful folk-infused multi-layered sound of Ardyn and finishing with 'the world's best boogie-woogie pianist' Henri Herbert and The Fury.

Arrive in good time - with fantastic music right from the start!

Stables (Slot 1)

'Ebullient, heartfelt alt-folk duo' describes Stables brand of high-energy upbeat music perfectly and we are delighted to bring the Stables into the Barn!

The pair formed in 2015 attracting early critical acclaim from BBC's Steve Lamacq, and BBC6 establishing them firmly on the circuit, with a growing fan base.

UK and European tours followed with the duo putting the emphasis on 'energy' when playing live; switching instruments and producing the sound of a full band, with big harmonies and varied styles.

'Cracking Stuff!' - Steve Lamacq, BBC Radio 2 & 6 Music

'Personal favourite' - Tom Robinson, BBC Radio 6 Music

Megan Dixon Hood (Slot 2)

Delighted to introduce Megan Dixon Hood and her band to the barn this summer.

We were bowled over by the young Cheshire-based songwriter with her enchanting and powerful vocals combined with haunting and lyrical songwriting. Her ethereal songs and stories ‘seep from dark, enchanted woods… inspired by the magic and mysteries of the world...’

Her proudest achievements to date was receiving the support of BBC Radio 2’s Sir Terry Wogan and supporting Rag ’n’ Bone Man.

With increasing critical acclaim and festival appearances you will be hearing her name much more in future we reckon.

Katy (Ardyn)
Ardyn (Slot 3)

Super chuffed to have Ardyn to play for us!

The Gloucester band have built up a big following for their beautifully rich sounds, full of real depth and atmosphere.

Brother and sister Rob and Katy Pearson have been developing their enthralling folk-infused sound over the last few years releasing three EPs and a string of performances at top UK festivals including Latitude, Dot to Dot and Kendal Calling - garnering much critical acclaim along with support from BBC Introducing and Radio 1’s Huw Stephens a fan.

This summer will be a fresh challenge with Rob taking a sabbatical and Katy continuing their beautiful, melodic, multi-layered music with a new band line up built around her mesmerising vocals - her distinct delivery combining the fragility of her timbre with bursts of pure power.

Henri Herbert

& The Fury (Slot 4)

"...definitely one of the best and most sought after boogie woogie blues piano men in the world." (SXSW Festival)

V. excited for the return of Fringe pin-up and celebrated boogie-woogie pianist Henri Herbert who is back with his super-charged band The Fury. He was absolutely scintillating a couple of years back here at the Fringe with a jaw-dropping performance of incredible energy, dripping sweat and mesmerising showmanship.

Invited to showcase at SXSW and Radio6 sessions he is now gaining a big following. His YouTube clip of his dazzling impromptu performance on the public piano at St Pancras station now has an incredible 18M views and counting – indicating his growing global appeal and claim to be the leading boogie-woogie pianist of his generation.
