Chris Garcia Sullivan
Great to have Chris Garcia Sullivan back with us this summer - a singer-songwriter crafting nostalgic, heartfelt songs of indie-folk infused with Country and Americana. His music, rooted in acoustic instruments and soulful vocals, evokes a longing for simpler times.
Hailing from Spain and the UK and based in Bristol, Garcia Sullivan’s multinational upbringing provides a worldview to his music and inspiration to his songs about universal truths and human emotions. With a sound reminiscent of Flyte and Katy J Pearson (both former Fringers!), Garcia Sullivan is carving out a unique niche in the indie-folk scene in the UK. His introspective lyrics and timeless melodies deliver captivating songs of emotional honesty.
Chris will be performing at around 7pm on the new intimate Clubhouse stage on Sunday 3 August so make sure you arrive in good time to see this talented rising star.

Tobias ben Jacob & Friends
Lovely to have folk troubadour Tobias Ben Jacob back into the Fringe fold!
Originally from Preston, Lancashire but now resident in Devon; Tobias’ music is steeped in classic guitar songwriting and folk traditions but makes more unexpected departures into what Tom Robinson called ‘innovative explorations in songwriting’
Following on from solo album successes and ten years touring; Tobias returns to the Fringe with some brand new songs as well as songs from his back catalogue. But this time as an exciting new trio with accompaniment from acclaimed finger-style guitarist Chris Cleverley and emerging songwriter and folk artist Isabel InkCap (Sidmouth Fringe 2023).
Can’t wait for this one - 3 fine individual folk artist performing together on one stage!

Mari Mathias & Band
Excited to welcome Welsh contemporary folk artist Mari Mathias and her band to the Fringe Sessions this summer.
Mari creates mystical folk music, driven by nature, landscape and tradition. She sings in her native welsh tongue and puts her own contemporary take on traditional folk melodies from west Wales and Pembrokeshire. She brings a surging energy on stage and beautiful tones of delicate melodic vocals, marrying intimate moments of storytelling and exhilarating folk sounds.
24-year-old Mari Mathias has received great critical acclaim in recent years having performed with her band on many celebrated stages such as Cambridge Folk Festival, Lorient Interceltique Festival, Green Man Festival, Between the Trees and many more. She won an Award for ‘Best Traditional Song’ from her Debut ‘Annwn’ at the BBC Folk Awards.

Electric Jalaba
ELECTRIC JALABA (Morocco/UK) - a real staple festival act on the UK and Europe for years, EJ are increasingly much more than the slick fusion of their origin. Their new music maintains the buzzing dance spirit, but with further exploration and boundary pushing of the trance and spiritual jazz elements of the sound.
