Saturday 3 August

Sessions commence 7.15pm (approx)

Saturday night showcases some of the south west's finest artists. Starting with multi-instrumentalist and spoken word artist Samantics, the much respected indie folk singer-songwriter Jamie Yost, the high octane funk/blues of the Andy Quick Band, and ending with the hair-raising harmonies and melodic songwriting of The Tors.  Nice!

Arrive in good time - with fantastic music right from the start!

Samantics (Slot 1)

Delighted to have extraordinary multi-instrumentalist and spoken word artist Samantics back at the Fringe. Using a loop-station and a 'sh*t load of instruments' he creates live ryhthmic backing tracks before exploding into his unique highly animated poetic musings.

You'll soon discover that Sam is not your usual rapper; he's not into maiming and gangster stuff but more comfortable on the trials of truths of everyday life which he delivers with disarming honesty, great humour and visceral intensity.

Fresh from performing at this years Glastonbury Grow Rooms we suggest you arrive early to see why he has been causing a stir on the local music scene.

Jamie Yost (Slot 2)

Chuffed that talented Devon-based indie folk singer songwriter Jamie Yost will be joining this summer’s Fringe line up!

Admired and respected within the local music fraternity, Jamie is known for his atmospheric highs and soulful grit, blending his own take on poetic lyricism and introspective songwriting. His performances loaded with raw emotion with comparisons to Daughter, Bon Iver and Ben Howard fusing together a combination of crafts, from stripped back lap style guitar to pop and Indie folk.

Get ready for some summer vibes with the Andy Quick Band at the Fringe...

"A soul punch of indie rock n roll n electro blues"

"Andy's Band create a cocktail of feel good funk, roots, and wild blues... The tunes have a life of their own and the sound is impossible to pin down...

Andy is a multifaceted songwriter and as with his first project Land Of The Giants this new live show has evolved into a fascinating mash up. Think soulful vocals, playful lyricism and enormous choruses wrapped around big beats and throbbing bass...."  MusicMuso

Tors (Slot 4)

Wowing big crowds on tour in Europe and the UK earlier this year... we are pleased to have the Tors chaps back to our intimate barn stage this summer. Since their last visit in 2017 the band have been building up their fan base with their fabulous hair-raising vocal harmonies and infectious melodic songwriting.
Its great to have the Devon-rooted band back on home turf! 😍
