Alan Fletcher
We are ludicrously excited to welcome the Alan Fletcher Band to this summer's Fringe!
Actor and musician Alan Fletcher will need no introduction to the many Neighbours fans out there having played the role of stalwart Dr Karl Kennedy in the iconic soap drama for over 30 years. In recent years Alan has focused on music and has toured extensively with his band throughout the UK and Ireland. His music is a satisfying blend of upbeat Americana/Alt-Country/Folk with thought-provoking ballads delivered with honesty, good humour and warmth that have delighted his audiences.
"He had a fantastic vocal quality throughout as well as some solid guitar playing, but what elevated the evening for me was the balance he struck between thoughtfulness and fun and the strength of his connection with the crowd. It’s safe to say he’s going to appeal to music fans way beyond just those who know him from ‘Neighbours’. Laura Cooney (Entertainment Focus)

Mr Bewlay
A Jazz Rock Burlesque 6 piece. Mr Bewlay is an enigma and a bombastic personality wrapped up in one. With a fiery stage persona and a sound that wraps up a hundred influences into one…
UK Art Pop extraordinaire Mr Bewlay is establishing himself as the voice for the unorthodox. Currently based in Cardiff, his upbringing was flamboyant with an early induction onto the stage and musical theatre.
In music Bewlay encompasses bombastic vocals, extravagant styles and lyrics of the utmost originality - melding synth-heavy, funk grooves and sweet retro-inspired pop hits.
Championed by the likes of Louder Than War, God is in the TV and Buzz and repeated plays via Huw Stephens and Amy Lame on BBC 6Music.
"So many influences. Brimming with quality I absolutely love it!" - Charlie Ashcroft, Amazing Radio
“With an ear for good grooves and a lot of chutzpah… what he has is a take on the absurd with a theatrical flourish.” - Mark Ray, Louder Than War
